OUR COMPANY STATEMENT ON PREVENTING PLASTIC PELLET LOSS
(OCS) is an international initiative run by the plastics industry to reduce the loss of plastic granules to the environment.
As MLA LOGISTICS, we understand that a significant portion of plastic pollution stems from mismanaged waste. Much of this waste originates from inappropriate seaside landfills, improper waste management, and potentially from carelessly discarded or unintentionally scattered products.
The requirements of this program were developed based on the six pillars of the Operation Clean Sweep (OCS) commitment. As MLA LOGISTICS, we are implementing the following six actions to integrate into this program. When transporting and storing pellets, our company conducts site remediation, establishes necessary procedures, trains employees, and monitors these efforts through internal audits. At this stage, we also inform and encourage our customers, suppliers, recycling companies, and business partners about zero pellet loss.
1. Improving the worksite to prevent unintended spills and spills.
2. Establishing and publishing internal procedures for zero granule loss targets.
3. Ensuring employee training and participation in spill prevention, containment, cleanup, and disposal.
4. Regularly auditing and recording performance.
5. Complying with all applicable regulations (local, national, and EU) for the storage of granules.
6. Encouraging all stakeholders in the value chain to pursue the same goals.
